Along with the Carbon Filter, the GreenSaver Produce Keeper’s unique construction keeps food fresher longer. A removable basket promotes airflow and prevents moisture buildup by keeping produce away from the bottom and sides of the container. A vent on the lid slides open and closed to optimize the humidity level for the produce being stored. An illustrated guide on the lid shows which fruits and vegetables thrive when humidity is higher (vent closed) and which ones keep best when the humidity is lower (vent open). The 5 Qt Produce Keeper ids great for carrots, cucumbers, celery, kale, scallions and more. The GreenSaver Produce Keeper is BPA free and dishwasher safe. The 5 Qt Produce Keeper comes with one enhanced Carbon Filter. Each Filter lasts up to 90 days, at which point it will no longer have the capacity to absorb more ethylene. Filter refills are sold separately.
