The bigger container lids have silicone gaskets and locking clips and the smaller ones simply twist on—and they’re all leakproof. While the containers look like ceramic, they’re actually a much lighter BPA-free plastic that replaces single-use plastic. Dishwasher safe. For a secure seal, press firmly in the middle of the lid, then engage the latches; you'll hear air being released as you press the lid down To replace the gasket, press the four corners down, then press the rest of the gasket into place, ensuring the gasket is pressed down fully and evenly
